LOX(液体酸素)/炭化水素に金属を添加した3推進薬の燃焼特性の評価を行った。比推力、密度比推力および燃焼特性を評価するため、LOX/ケロシン/Be,LOX/ケロシン/B,LOX/ケロシン/Mg,LOX/ケロシン/Alの3推進薬について熱化学性能計算を行った。LOX/ケロシン/Beの比推力が2推進薬に優る事を示し、Al、Mg、Bのような高密度要素を利用する密度比推力の考え方を立証した。単段インジェクタ、水冷燃焼室を用いて酸素/ケロシン/Alの3推進薬の燃焼特性評価試験を行った。相違する2種類の噴流衝突型インジェクタ(F-O-F)を液体酸素用に、また同軸インジェクタを気体酸素用に用いた。供試燃料はケロシンに1.9-3.1μm粒径のアルミニウム粉体を懸濁させたものを用いた。アルミニウムの濃度は1-20重量％で変化させた。試験燃焼圧は4MPa,混合比は1.4-5.1であった。ケロシンにアルミニウムを添加したこれらの試験の結果、噴流衝突型インジェクタでは燃焼安定性が大幅に改善され、また同軸インジェクタではC｛*｝効率の増強が達成された。
In this paper the combustion performance of tripropellants consisting of LOX (Liquid OXygen)/hydrocarbon fuel and solid metals was evaluated. Thermochemical calculations were performed to evaluate specific impulse, specific density impulse and the combustion properties of LOX/kerosene/Be, LOX/kerosene/B, LOX/kerosene/Mg and LOX/kerosene/Al tripropellants. The specific impulse advantage of LOX/kerosene/Be over bipropelfants was demonstrated. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the combustion characteristics of oxygen and kerosene/aluminum tripropellants using single-element injectors and a water-cooled combustion chamber. Two kinds of unlike impinging element (F-O-F (Fuel-Oxygen-Fuel)) injectors were tested using liquid oxygen and one kind of coaxjul injector was tested using gaseous oxygen. The fuel used was a kerosene and aluminum mixture which consisted of aluminum particles, with a meam diameter of 1.9 to 3.1 micrometer in mean diameter, suspended in kerosene fuel.
