この論文は、ブレード翼端形状の空気力学的影響を評価するために行った実験研究を報告する。ブレード翼端には、翼端渦を1対の渦に分割することによりBVI(翼渦相互作用)騒音を低減化するサブウィングを有するものを含んでいた。種々の形状の翼端を用いて、非回転状態において風洞試験を行った。これらの中の1つであるカナード翼端は2個のサブウィングを有しており、先進戦闘機のカナード(前翼)翼のコンセプトに基づいたものである。後流トラバース装置に取付けた5孔ヨーメータ装置を用いた後流計測の結果から、カナード翼端は前翼端渦と後翼端渦の間の相互干渉によって、翼端渦を拡散する有効な結果を示すことが分かった。
This paper presents an experimental study to evaluate the aerodynamic effect of blade tip shape. The blade tip includes the subwing which reduces BVI (Blade Vortex Interaction) noise by dividing the tip vortex into a pair of vortices. The wind tunnel test using several types of tip shape is conducted on the non-rotating condition. One of them is a canard tip, which has two subwings and is based on the concept of advanced fighter's canard wing. From the results of wake surveys using a system of a five-hole yaw meter affixed to a wake traverser, the canard tip shows the effective results of the diffusion of wing tip vortex by the interaction between the front wing tip vortex and aft one.
