この論文では、代数型乱流のナビエ-ストークス・コードの2次元翼型失速予測への応用を示した。3種類の翼型について計算し、数値結果と実験データを比較したところ、低仰角において良い一致を示した。完全な乱流条件では失速角と最大揚力の過大評価が見られたが、この過大評価は遷移点を適切に設定することで克服できた。この論文では、剥離型の遷移点と失速角の効果について調べ、代数型乱流モデルが翼型失速をどれほど予測できるかを示した。
This paper presents the applications of Navier-Stokes code with an algebraic turbulence to 2D (two dimensional) airfoil stall prediction. Three kinds of airfoil have been calculated and the comparison between numerical results and experimental data show good agreement in the region of low angle of attack. Overestimation of stall angle and maximum lift has observed in case of full turbulence condition, however, the overestimation can be overcome by setting transition points appropriately. In this paper the effect of transition point on separation type and stall angle is investigated and the results show the ability of algebraic turbulence model to predict airfoil stall.
