3種類の異なる翼型失速について計算シミュレーションを行った。これらは、後縁失速、前縁失速、薄翼失速である。これら3種の失速型をそれぞれ現すよく知られた翼型がある。それぞれの翼周りの流れ場について、良く確立した標準的なCFD(計算乱流力学)ソフトウェアと乱流モデルを用いて計算した。計算では細かい格子を用意した。これは現在のξ方向における通常のグリッドよりも10倍緻密である。この結果、現在のCFDはこれらの翼型失速を大ざっぱに示すことがわかった。また、これらの細かいグリッド分解能では、グリッドの発生過程やCFDソフトウェアを用いるシミュレーションパラメータについてさらに研究する必要があることがわかった。
Three different types of airfoil stall are tried to be simulated by computation. They are trailing edge stall, leading edge stall, and thin airfoil stall. There are three well-known airfoils which exhibit those three types of stall, respectively. Flow-fields around each airfoils has been computed using the well established standard CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software and a turbulence model. A fine grid distribution was prepared for the computation. It is about ten times as fine as the usual grid distribution in xi direction for these-day common practice. The result shows that the present CFD can roughly predict those types of stall. It has been also clearly recognized that such fine grid resolution requires further investigation on a grid generation process as well as simulation parameters to utilize the CFD software.
