直接数値計算を用いてチャネル流乱流における乱流の維持機構を研究した。壁近傍においては、乱れた状態の中に間欠的に秩序的な状態が観測される。壁乱流中にしばしば見出される秩序的な構造の抽出に成功した。さらに、この秩序的な定常状態からの線形発展を数値的に追うことにより、壁近傍での乱れの生成機構を詳しく調べることができる。一般の乱流維持過程の中でもこれに近いプロセスが偏在していると考えられる。
The mechanism for sustaining turbulence in channel turbulent flow was studied using a direct numerical simulation. In the vicinity of wall, the intermittently ordered state was observed among the disordered states. The ordered structure frequently found in the wall turbulence was successfully extracted. Furthermore, by pursuing numerically a linear development from this orderly steady state, the generation mechanism of the turbulence in the vicinity of wall can be investigated in detail. It is considered that a process similar to this mechanism is unevenly distributed even in the general processes for sustaining turbulence.
