超音速平面噴流の解析的および数値的検討を報告した。対流マッハ数M(sub c)=0.38〜M(sub c)=1.51の範囲に対する線形安定性解析の結果は、支配モードがマッハ数に依存することを示した。1.5以下のマッハ数については、最不安定モードは反対称性である。1.5を超えるM(sub c)に対しては、支配モードは対称性である。M(sub c)=1.51に対する2次元空間展開直接数値シミュレーション(DNS)の結果は噴流中心面周辺に形成される膨張は非常に強固であるが、しかし外側は弱いことを示した。2次元対称性モードおよび3次元反対称性モードの線形成長速度が比較的に類似しているため流れ場の構造が初期条件に依存することを、M(sub c)=1.13に対する3次元時間DNSにより確認した。
This paper describes an analytical and numerical investigation of plane supersonic jet. Results of linear stability analyses for convective Mach number (M(sub c)) = 0.38 to M(sub c) = 1.51 show that the dominant mode depends upon the Mach numbers. For Mach number less than 1.5, the most unstable mode is antisymmetric. For M(sub c) over 1.5, the dominant mode is symmetric. 2-D spatially developing Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) for M(sub c) = 1.51 show that the dilatation formed around the jet center plane is very strong, however, weak outside. It is confirmed by 3-D temporal DNS for M(sub c) = 1.13 that the structure of the flow field depends on the initial conditions, because the linear growth rates of the 2-D symmetric and 3-D antisymmetric mode are comparatively similar.
