Note (General): Gibbs-Bogoliubov (GB)変分法やWeeks-Chandler-Andersen (WCA)摂動法などの液体の厳密論を用いて各種温度における単純液体の剛球径を厳密に決定した。確定した剛球径をエントロピーの温度依存性、液体の構造因子および液体アルカリ金属の自己拡散係数の予測に適用した。GB法はエントロピーの実験値と極めてよく一致した。他方で、WCA法は液体の構造因子および液体の自己拡散係数の実験値とかなりよく一致した。自己拡散係数の予測を向上させる方法を論じた。
The refined theories of liquids, such as the Gibbs-Bogoliubov (GB) variational method and the Weeks-Chandler-Andersen (WCA) perturbation method, were employed to determine the hard sphere diameter of simple liquids rigorously at various temperatures. The determined hard sphere diameters were employed to predict the temperature dependence of entropy, the structure factor of liquids and the self-diffusion coefficient of liquid alkali metals. The GB scheme provides the excellent agreement with experimental values of entropy. On the other hand the WCA scheme provides better agreement with experiments for the structure factor of liquids and the self-diffusion coefficient of liquids. Further discussions are given for the better prediction of self-diffusion coefficient.
