Note (General): 現在、宇宙開発事業団と宇宙科学研究所を中心に進められている、月周回探査衛星計画(SELENE:Selenological and Engineering Explorer)では、月面軟着陸は日本として初めての技術開発であるため、地上での十分な検討が欠かせない。そのためフライングテストベッド(FTB)を用いた実験が進められている。この実験に先立ち、FTBの詳細なモデル化とシミュレーションによる飛行特性の評価を行った。またテザーで懸吊した状態での飛行試験(テザード試験)の飛行前評価を行い、実験中の制御ゲイン変更などで参考となるデータを得た。さらに2000年3月から6月にかけて行われた飛行試験データとの比較を行った結果、シミュレーション結果がよく一致していることを確認した。
Selenological and Engineering Explorer (SELENE) is a project aiming to lunar observation and a landing experiment. In this project, a SELENE satellite is sent into an orbit around the moon. It then lands on the surface of the moon. A landing test using a Flying Test Bed (FTB) has to be conducted on earth before the mission. Numerical simulations with the accurate FTB model are carried out prior to the FTB flight test. The simulation results are reflected in the actual flight test. They are also compared to the actual flight data from the FTB test carried out from March to June 2000. The simulation results turned out to be very similar to those of the actual flight experiment.
