Note (General): 微小重力場における液柱の形成、不形成の条件を求める実験を自由落下時間約1.4秒の落下塔を用いて行った。実験の結果、短時間の微小重力場においても比較的容易に液柱を形成することが可能であることがわかった。液柱の形成条件をレイノルズ数と無次元表面張力でまとめることで、液柱の形成、不形成が予測できることが明らかになった。
Experiments to investigate the conditions for stable and unstable liquid bridge formation were carried out in microgravity conditions using a drop shaft for 1.4 s. A liquid bridge was formed easily even in a short period of microgravity. The experiments demonstrated that formation of liquid bridges could be predicted by Reynolds number and nondimensional surface tension.
