Note (General): The unsteady flowfield with large separation in highly loaded transonic compressor cascade is numerically analyzed by the implicit time marching method solving two-dimensional Navier-Stokes cquations. It is effective for the aerodynamic design of improved compressor cascade to make possible accurate prediction of the aerodynamic performances such as total pressure loss or exit flow angle, even with large boundary layer separation. In this study, several computational trials including the unsteady simulation without using thin layer approximation nor any turbulence models are investigated.
