Note (General): 民間航空界においても,省エネルギー化が唱えられるようになって久しく,それぞれの立場で可能な対応が続けられているが,その結果としての実績は案外知られていない。ここでは,公表された資料を整理して,省エネルギー化進行途上の現状を概観した。1985年第1四半期～86年第2四半期,米国のエアラインでは,航続率の実績は0.07～0,25km/kg,航続率×有償客数では7～28人・km/kg,航続率×有償質量では大部分が1～3×103kg・km/kgの範囲にあり,総経費中の燃油費は25～63％を占めている。
