Note (General): 低騒音STOL実験機「飛鳥」用として航空宇宙技術研究所で開発したHUD(ヘッド・アップ・ディスプレイ)について,第二次シミュレーション評価試験を実施した。本試験の目的は,(1)実験用航空機であるクインエアを用いて行われた飛行試験の結果に基づく改修表示フォーマットの確認,(2)HUDに表示されるレーダーガイダンス機能の評価,(3)レーダーガイダンス能力を利用した「飛鳥」のIFR進入着陸能力の調査である。5人の評価パイロットによる300回以上の着陸進入試行の結果,表示フォーマットの改修により読み易さとスムーズさが一層向上したこと,レーダー情報を慣性情報により補正する方式のガイダンスアルゴリズムが十分実機で使用できること,及び計器飛行状態であっても模擬滑走路を中心とするHUD表示により容易に滑走路に進入できることが確認された。また,飛行試験開始までに更に調整すべき点も明らかになった。
