Note (General): 希ガス中における亜励起電子の熱電子化過程のモンテカルロ・シミュレーションを剛体球及びマックスウェルモデル気体に対して行った。質量比m/M (asymptotically)less than 0.01に対する結果はフォッカープランク方程式の厳密解と統計的誤差の範囲内で一致する。従って,希ガス中でのシミュレーションは,上限値m/M=0.01に対して行えばよいことがわかった。剛体球気体中においては,電子速度分布は初期マックスウェル分布に対しても局所マックスウェル分布から大きくずれる。そのため,熱電子化時間は局所マックスウェル分布を仮定した近似理論値より約30％長くなる。He,Ne,Ar,Kr,及びXeに対するm/M=0.01を用いたシミュレーション結果は,ShizgalとMcMahonのDiscrete Ordinate法による(厳密な)結果と統計的誤差の範囲内で一致する。
The Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) of the thermalization of subexcitation electrons in rare gases is performed for the hard-sphere and Maxwell model gases.The MCS result for the mass ratio m/M (asymptotically)less than 0.01 agrees within the statistical error with the rigorous solution of the Fokker-Planck equation ; therefore the upper limitlization time, which is nearly independent of the initial electron velocity distribution, is about 30％ larger than that obtained by the approximate theory based on the MD assumption.The MCS results obtained with m/M=0.01 for He, Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe agree within the statistical error with the (rigorous) results obtained by Shizgal and McMahon using the discrete ordinate method.
