大気球や宇宙機における地球および天体観測においては，観測機器の高精度なアライメントが重要である．一方で，機器の取り付け部の熱膨張係数のミスマッチや温度差によるバイメタル変形は，これらのアライメントを悪化させる主要因の一つであり，解決が望まれる課題である．そこで，我々の研究グループでは，この取り付け部の熱応力を緩和し，観測機器のアライメントを維持できる応力緩和機構を研究開発している．本研究では，この応力緩和機構を，高精度変位計測装置の取り付けインターフェースに適用し，2024 年8 月3 日に実施された大気球実験によって性能を評価した．1 時間36 分にわたる飛翔の間，大気球飛翔環境下において本変位計測装置が正常に機能すること，応力緩和機構によって，面外方向のアライメント変動を約1/10 以下に低減できることが確かめられた．
High-precision alignment of observation instruments is important for balloon-borne astronomical observations and spacecraft observations of the earth and celestial bodies. On the other hand, bimetallic deformation due to mismatch of thermal expansion coefficients of instrument mounting interface and temperature difference is a major factor that deteriorates the alignment of these instruments, and thus, a solution is desired. Therefore, our research group has been developing a thermal stress relief mechanism that can relief the thermal stress at the mounting interface and maintain the alignment of the instruments. In this study, we applied this thermal stress relief mechanism to the mounting interface of a high-precision displacement measurement system and evaluated its performance in a balloon-flight environment through a balloon experiment conducted on August 3, 2024. The thermal stress relief mechanism reduced the alignment fluctuation to less than about 1/10 of the original value.
