• Note (General): 出版タイプ： VoR; 南極域における大気重力波（以降、重力波）の振る舞いや運動量輸送の水平分布を捉えることを目的として、スーパープレッシャー（SP）気球による重力波観測計画（LOng-Duration balloon Experiment of gravity WAVE over Antarctica：LODEWAVE）の第2回キャンペーン観測を、2024年1～2月に南極昭和基地で実施した。同キャンペーンでは2機のSP気球を放球し、下部成層圏におけるレベルフライトによる観測には成功したが、レベルフライトの期間は第1回キャンペーン観測と同様にいずれも3日以内に留まった。一方で、SP気球にネクタイ（気球のロードテープに穴をあけ、そこに紐を通すことで、気球の展開を防止するもの）を取り付けることにより、放球時の地上風速が3m/s 以下という条件を緩和することができた。観測では、第1回キャンペーン観測と同様に近慣性周期の重力波によるとみられる水平風速擾乱を捉えていた。今後は、長期間フライトの実現に向けたSP気球の改良と、第2 回キャンペーン観測で判明した気球搭載装置の問題点の改善を進め、より長期間のフライトを目指すSP気球観測を第68 次南極地域観測隊越冬隊により2027 年4～11月に実施する予定である。; The second campaign of the LOng-Duration balloon Experiment of gravity WAVE over Antarctica (LODEWAVE) using a super-pressure (SP) balloon was conducted from January to February 2024 at Syowa Station, Antarctica, to observe the behavior of atmospheric gravity waves and the horizontal distribution of momentum transport in the Antarctic region. In this campaign, two SP balloons were launched and level flight observations in the lower stratosphere were successfully conducted. However, the duration of level flight was limited to three days or less, as in the first campaign. On the other hand, by attaching a necktie (i.e., to prevent the balloon from unfolding by threading a string through a hole made in the balloon's load tape) to the SP balloon, we were able to mitigate the upper limits of surface wind speed during the balloon launch. Similar to the first campaign, the observation captured horizontal wind disturbances that were caused by near-inertial frequency gravity waves. In the future, the SP balloon will be improved to realize long-duration flights, and the problems with the balloon payload identified during the second campaign will be solved.
