本研究では、国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）に搭載された全天X 線監視装置MAXI が提供する姿勢情報と、ISS システムが提供する姿勢情報との間に存在する姿勢差の時間的変動に着目し、その定量的な解析を行った。ISS の巨大構造は、観測装置の搭載位置に応じて微小な歪みや揺れの影響を受ける可能性があり、とりわけMAXI のようにISS 外部に取り付けられた装置では、ISS システムとの相対的姿勢が時間変動する可能性がある。本研究では2010 年から2017 年のデータを用いて、ISS システムとMAXI の姿勢差を導出し、時間変動の特徴を評価した。周期解析を行った結果、姿勢差には短周期的（約92 分）および長周期的（60 日程度）の顕著な変動が確認され、短周期の変動はISS の公転運動に起因し、長周期の変動は太陽ベータ角の変化と高い相関を示す事がわかった。また、その変動振幅はそれぞれおよそ0.1°～0.3°程度であることが明らかになった。本研究により、MAXI をはじめとするISS 搭載観測装置の姿勢を高精度に決定するための補正手法の基盤が得られ、観測データの信頼性向上に寄与することが期待される。
This study analyzes the temporal variation in attitude differences between the Monitor of All-sky X-ray Image (MAXI), mounted on the Kibo Exposed Facility of the International Space Station (ISS), and the attitude data provided by the ISS. Due to the ISS’s large structure, instruments like MAXI, attached externally, may point toward slightly different directions from the ISS’s attitude. Using data from 2010 to 2017, attitude differences were calculated as quaternion differences and converted into Euler angles. The results revealed distinct short-term (92 minutes) and long-term (60 days) periodic variations, likely related to the ISS’s orbital motion and changes in the solar beta angle, respectively.
