Note (General): WSやPCをネットワークで接続したクラスタによる並列処理が盛んに研究されている。ギガビットレベルのネットワークの登場により，この様なクラスタでボトルネックとなっていたノード間のメッセージ通信性能が向上する一方，メッセージ通信時のノード内データ転送速度が新たなボトルネックとして挙げられるようになってきた。この問題を解決するため，本論文ではネットワークインタフェース上にメモリを搭載し，主記憶の一部とする分散メモリ型ネットワークインタフェースを提案し，その概要と予備評価について述べる。性能評価のためシミュレーションによる行列演算を行った結果，分散メモリ型ネットワークインタフェースはメッセージ通信時のバスボトルネックを削減できることが分かった。
