Note (General): コンピュータにWindows 環境が加わり，入力デバイスとしてこれまでのキーボードに加えてマウスが登場し，コンピュータ環境は飛躍的に向上した．しかし，この2個のローラー，1個のボール，2個のボタンをもったマウス操作は，残念ながら日常生活の動作とはかなりかけ離れている．確かに，ワープロ操作を想像してみよう，日常コンピュータ画面に向かって文章を打ち込むという動作は，紙に文字を書くという本来の作業とは大きくかけ離れている．余談になるが，キーボードと文字変換ツールによって，文章，とくに漢字を書く機会が少なくなったので，漢字を思い出せないという問題も起きている，少なくとも私には．つまり直感性(使いやすさ)が，コンピュータの設計過程で，失われてきていないだろうか．指先の動きで文字入力が考えられていたら，こんな問題はなかったかもしれない.一方で，コンピュータ・ゲームの世界では，ジョイスティック，航空機の操縦桿とコックピット，自動車のハンドル等、多種多様なコントローラや入力デバイスが出現し，操作の直感性が増し，よりリアルにゲームを楽しめるようになっているのではないか．本業務報告では，本来の仕事ではないが，昨年度のJAISTフェスティバルでMicrosoftのKinectを使う機会があったので，興味本位で恐縮だが，今，旬なジェスチャー入力デバイスを取り上げてみたい．但し，個々のデバイスの詳細は開発元にお願いするとして，現在，今後のトレンドを考えてみた．
