研究成果の概要（和文）：　多言語・多文化に開かれたリテラシー教育を考えるとき、複言語・複文化主義はその前提として欠かせないものである。では、複言語・複文化主義に基づく複言語教育はどのように実現されるのか。ドイツ語圏スイスで行われているPassepartoutは、初等教育段階から始める複言語教育の先進的な事例である。Cummins (1981, 2005)、Hufeisen & Gibson (2003)等を理論的背景とし、統合的教授法でカリキュラムを組み、行動・内容中心、言語と文化に対する気づき、言語横断的授業等５つの要素を教授上の概念に組み込んでいる。複言語教育は、外国語教育を含む従来の言語教育とは一線を画する。研究成果の概要（英文）：The consideration of multilingual and multicultural literacy education should include plurilingualism and pluriculturalism. But how can plurilingual education based on plurilingualism and pluriculturalism be actualized? Passepartout, implemented in German-speaking Switzerland, is an advanced example of plurilingual education that begins in primary school. With a theoretical background that includes Cummins (1981, 2005) and Hufeisen & Gibson (2003), curricula have been developed using an Integrated Approach (Mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik) that incorporates five elements into language teaching, including action and content orientation, awareness of language and culture, and cross-lingual classes. Such plurilingual education is significantly different from conventional language education, including the teaching of foreign languages.
