研究成果の概要 (和文) : イネプロトプラストにTMV-RNAを導入してもTMVの増殖を見ることはないが、CMV-RNAとTMV-RNAを同時に導入すると、CMVが増殖した細胞ではTMVが増殖できるという以前の研究を、マイクロRNAの見地から分子機構解明を行った。植物細胞ではウイルス増殖にRNAサイレンシングが働くが、ウイルス遺伝子産物中にサイレンシングを抑制するものがあると予想される。本研究で、CMVの2b遺伝子産物にそのような可能性があることが示され、それと作用するタンパク質がイネ細胞にあると推定された。2b遺伝子を恒常的にイネ細胞Ocに発現させてウイルス増殖にどのような影響を与えるかの結論は今後に持ち越された。
研究成果の概要 (英文) : We have shown previously that the propagation of TMV was not observed in rice protoplasts, when TMV-RNA was solely introduced into them. However, TMV propagation was observed, when both TMV-RNA and CMV-RNA were introduced into rice protoplasts. This observation may be interpreted from the viewpoints of microRNA functioning. Generally speaking, it is said that upon virus infection, RNA silencing functions; however, in some of virus products, factors that suppress RNA silencing function upon virus infection. Thus, in this study one of such factors is supposed to be a gene product of 2b of CMV. It is inferred that certain factors in rice cells have been identified that interact with the 2b protein.
