研究成果の概要 (和文) : GUESSS 2016は、50カ国の大学が参加した大学生の起業意識調査である。日本では24大学参加し、1,490件の回答を得た。卒業直後および5年後のキャリア選好においては、日本では従業員となることを希望する割合が世界よりも多い。世界では、卒業5年後に起業を希望する者が38.2％であるのに対し、日本は8.8％にとどまっている。首都圏のWeb事業を営むスタートアップの成長要因を検証した。戦略要因は、アイデア一貫性、ビジネスモデル変更、顧客リストが、環境要因は、市場規模、市場の成長、新規性が、経営資源は、創業者数、シリーズAが、ネットワークは、知人およびビジネスメンターが影響していた。
研究成果の概要 (英文) : 50 countries participated in the 2016 Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey. In Japan, 24 universities participated, producing a total of 1,490 valid responses. We find that when asked about career preferences, a higher proportion of students in Japan hope to be employed (80.4% just after graduation, 61.0% after five years). In the global sample, 38.2% of respondents hope to become entrepreneurs after five years, but in Japan only 8.8% share this aspiration. We examine growth factors affecting startups, which operate Web-related businesses in Tokyo metropolitan area. We confirm several factors linked to growth as follows. There are idea consistency, business model change and customer list in the strategic factor, market size, market growth and newness in the environment factors, the number of founder and series A in the management resources, and acquaintances and business mentors in the networks.
