Note (General): 「跂跂」と「翾翾」から「ゆっくりだったり速かったりする」ことをイメージしながら、制作するとどうなるか。本作はその実験である。作品は楚系文字をベースに、羊毫長鋒で渇筆と曲線を多用し、全体的に速書きしてみた。その結果、篆書は、速く書いて千変万化の線を追いかける草書とは異なる形体・結構であることをあらためて体得した。まずは形式的に統一感・安定感が必要なのである。その上で、真に「ゆっくりだったり速かったり」に見える線条をめざさねばなるまいと悟った。篆書は、遅速緩急の変化する筆勢の中では、静かな筆勢、静謐の動態、「静中の動」が美しかろう。鑑賞する者は、この静謐の中の動態の筆勢を味わうのであり、動態になればなるほど華美に流れ、煩くなりやすい。つまり篆書の場合、「動中の動」は美的享受し難いのである。鑑賞と表現は表裏一体である。表現者は作品（主に古典）の鑑賞を通して、美的享受の豊富な体験を持つことが望ましいし、その豊富な美的体験があってはじめて真の表現が可能となるのである。
