Note (General): 庶民の暮らしに根付いた道具類の日本初の調査マニュアル「民具蒐集調査要目」（1937年）に挙げられた「衣食住に関するもの」132種について、本学学生が知っているか否かを問うアンケート調査を実施した。その結果、知っているものは30％程度であった。これまで文化財保護法で「有形の民俗文化財」として博物館で保護されてきた民具であるが、①民具は身近なものではない、②地方の地域博物館の維持が困難になりつつある、この2点の現状をふまえると、民具の未来には「知らないから廃棄してもよい」あるいは「知らないからこそ貴重なものとして保存する方がよい」という二つの極がありうる。この両極の間で折衝点を模索することになるが、各館で活発な議論の末に民具の処遇が決められていくことを願う。
