• Note (General): type:部門報告; A new hyperthermia system using antibody-conjugated magneto-liposome and alternating magnetic field irradiation has been developed, and has been clinically applied on October, 2009 at University Hospital, Nagoya University Medical School. The diameter of the liposome is 120 nm and the hyperthermia is only applicable to large malignant tumor. If the diameter of magnetic particles having targeting ability to tumor or atherosclerotic plaque is less than 40 nm, this material will accumulate in smaller malignant tumor or atherosclerotic lesion, which leads to diagnosis of small tumor or myocardial infarction by MRI and treatment by hyperthermia of small tumor. These particles have been developed and the characteristics of the particles were studied in vitro and in vivo.
