[はじめに]人工光利用の閉鎖型苗生産システム（以下、閉鎖型システム）では自然光利用の温室などの開放型苗生産システムと比べて、育成環境条件を高度に制御できるために、高品質な増殖体を計画的に大量生産することが可能である（古在、1999)。他方、栽植密度が低くなると植物体あたりの増殖体生産数が大となることが報告されている(Walker、1991)。しかし、低栽植密度ほど増殖体あたり占有面積が大きくなるので、閉鎖型システム内の単位面積あたりの消費電力量（Ea）が一定である場合、増殖体あたりの消費電力最が大となる可能性がある。本研究では閉鎖型システムを用いて栽植密度の異なる条件下で栄養繁殖の増殖体を育成して、植物体あたりの増殖体生産数、単位面積あたりの増殖体生産数および増殖体あたりの消費電力量について調べた。
