[はじめに]日射に不透明な断熱壁を用い、物質とエネルギの輸送を人為的に制御できる空間内の人工光源下で苗生産する閉鎖型苗生産システムでは、環境制御が容易であり、高品質苗を安定的に大量生産できる（古在、1999)。本研究では、実用化を目指して試作した閉鎖型苗生産システム（試作システム、Fig.1、Table1)の電力消費量を調べ、その削減方法について検討した。
