[はじめに]セル成型苗用トレイ（以下、トレイ）を管理単位とした自律分散制御型生産管理システムでは、植物生産施設を管理単位とする従来の生産管理システムよりも生産物の管理をより細かくすることができ、同一施設内で多品目の育苗が可能となることが示唆されている(Hoshiら、1999)。本報告では、千葉大学の閉鎖型植物生産研究施設(Chun and Kozai、2000; 以下、苗工場）に実装された苗工場生産管理システム(Hayashiら、2001; 以下、システム）のシミュレータ(ver.prot0010dlb;Windows2000上で動作）を用いて、育苗の最適気温が異なる多品目の苗を同時に生産する場合を想定し、システムの動作特性を、トレイの挙動および育苗時の気温に注目したシミュレーションにて検証した。
