[あらまし]植物標本画像のデジタル化に必要な画像処理を検討した．デジタル化された植物標本画像は非常に多様であり，視覚的なノイズや公開できない情報が存在する．ダウンストリームの深層学習アプリケーションにのための前処理として，ノイズ系統的除去や，植物本体のセグメンテーションが必要である．そこで，本研究ではディープラーニングを用いて，植物標本画像の植物本体をセグメンテーションし，背景を除去するワークフローを開発した．自動および手動ツールを組み合わせて，グラウンドトゥルースマスクを生成し， U-Netをトレーニングし，標本画像を自動的にセグメンテーションする方法を検討し良好な結果を得た．
[Abstract] the image processing required to digitize images of plant specimens. Digitized images of plant specimens are very diverse and contain visual noise and undisclosed information. As a pre-processing step for downstream deep learning applications, systematic removal of noise and segmentation of plant bodies is required. In this study, we developed a workflow that uses deep learning to segment and remove background from plant bodies in plant specimen images. A combination of automatic and manual tools was used to generate ground truth masks, train U-Net, and automatically segment the specimen images with good results.
