Note (General): In this paper，the factors concening the decrease in music CD sales were investigated. The music world insists that the music CD sales are influenced by the copy of a music CD to a CD-R used for data maintenance and the acquisition of music data on network with file exchange software. At first， whether these two factors greatly influenced the decrease in music CD sales was investigated from the WEB questionnaire and the statistical materials shown by various organizations. In conclusion, it was not able to be declared that these two factors greatly influenced the decrease in music CD sales. Next，the factors found by the consumer such as the popularize of a cellular phone，the decrease in music boom，the end of karaoke boom and the spread of rental CD shops were similarly investigated. These factors also influenced the decrease in music CD sales.
