Note (General): 重金属を含む産業廃棄物の固形化にセメントを使用し,オートクレーブ養生を行ない,固形物の強度および溶出性が,オートクレーブ養生によって,どの程度改善されるかを調べた.まず,重金属試薬(約50種)を用いて基礎的資料を得,次いで,実際の廃棄物で検討した.常温養生で硬化不良の金属でも,シリカを与えてオートクレーブ養生すると高強度を発現するなど,硬化性という点では,オートクレーブ養生はすべての金属に対して有効であった.しかし,溶出性の改善という点では,問題の残る金属があった.例えば,Hg,Cr^<6+>などは長生水にさえ溶出した.一方,最も顕著に改善されたのは,Pb化合物であった.
