This is a record of conversations between Yang Wenfeng (J., Yō Bunpō), also known as Kamida Pēchin Chōshō, and a Satsuma official Ishizuka Saikō, which were held in Ryukyukan, the Ryukyuan local government office in Satsuma. It includes records on Yang's experiences at Fuzhou, China and Taiwan, as well as on official duties at Shuri Castle. Li Dingyuan (J., Ri Teigen) is said to have praised Yang as the greatest scholar of Chinese classics in Ryukyu. The Chinese anthology <I>Shichidō Shikō vol.3</I>, which Yang edited, still remains today. Also see Iwamoto (2013) for more detail.
