Note (General): 備中国後月(しつき)郡木之子(きのこ)村（現井原市木之子町）の渡辺正利の編輯で、文久元年（1861）に朋寿館から刊行された備中国の地誌。巻頭に阪谷朗廬(さかたにろうろ)の序（荻田雲涯書）と渡辺正利の自序があり、巻末には万延2年（1861）の戴星道人（荻田雲涯）の跋文がある。編者渡辺正利については未詳であるが、序文が興譲館館長の阪谷朗廬（1822〜81）、跋文が井原村（現井原市井原）の人で、興譲館で阪谷朗廬に学んだ荻田雲涯（1831〜73、書家）であることから、渡辺正利は興譲館にゆかりの人物である可能性が高い。「備中国略図・「吉備中山図」・「吉備公墓所之図木之子村図」・「吉井村天神山紅葉の図」・「七日市駅日芳橋并江原新町之図」などの挿絵を載せた後へ、幕領・私領・寺社領が複雑に入り組んでいた備中11郡588村を領主別に分けて、居城・陣屋の所在地、村高、大庄屋・庄屋・年寄・御用達などを書上げている。版本に、本書のほか、全1冊本（KW220/12）があるが、本書が刊行された後、若干の修正が行なわれ、再発行されたのが1冊本と考えられる。
