- 『日本博物誌年表』(2002年刊)の増訂版。新たに中世の資料や園芸植物関係資料を含む多数の和古書を調査し、新知見を増補。「総合年表編」と「索引・資料編」の2冊からなる。「総合年表編」は縄文時代から慶応4年(明治元年、1868年)までを扱い、上段に国内事項、下段に海外事項を掲載する。本文の年表の後に付記として、明治前期の著作で江戸時代の博物誌に関連するものを収録。「索引・資料編」には、人名、書名、事項の各索引(五十音順)と文献一覧のほか、「珍禽異獣奇魚の古記録」、「明治前動物渡来年表」、「資料別・動植物名所見リスト」などの個別のテーマ別年表を収録。また、「用語集」や、年号一覧、六十干支表などの「参考資料」を付す。
