Eugene Dimon旧蔵. カリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校図書館特別コレクション部原蔵日系アメリカ人研究プロジェクト 米国における日本人に関する資料コレクション (Collection Number: 2010). 2015年度に原所蔵機関にマイクロフィルムへの撮影を依頼して収集; 旧蔵者: W. Eugene Dimon (1912-1993) は, カルフォルニア州ポモナ集合センターにてRecreation Directorを務め, 同センターに一時的に拘留されていた日系人により, その手厚い待遇を称賛された. 中古品を同センターに寄付するため, 地域の教会, 学校, 諸組織, 公立図書館と繋がりを持っていた. 彼の母も, 日本人抑留者に対する配慮ある行動で知られた. なお, ポモナ集合センターは, 日系人を転住センターに送るまでの間の一時抑留のキャンプで, 1942年に設置され, 同年5月7日から8月24日までの間に5,514人を受け入れ, ピーク時には5,434人を収容した. 抑留者の大多数は, ロサンゼルス, サンフランシスコ, サンタ・クララの各郡からであった. 同センターの抑留者の大半は, ワイオミング州ハートマウンテン戦時転住センターに1942年8月に送られている
