Note (Content): Cet ouvrage compare les droits français et japonais des obligations et leurs évolutions. En France, le droit des contrats a été réformé par l'ordonnance n° 2016-131 du 10 février 2016 et par la loi de ratification du 20 avril 2018. Quant au droit de la responsabilité, il pourrait être réformé sur la base de l'avant-projet de réforme de la Chancellerie (mars 2017). Au Japon, la Diète a adopté en 2017 une réforme du droit des obligations entrée en vigueur le 1er avril 2020. Dans les deux cas, des arguments similaires ont été invoqués (attractivité des droits nationaux, accessibilité à la population, adaptation aux changements économiques et sociaux) et d'intenses débats ont vu le jour
