問答体で鬼神（霊魂）の存在について論じた書。漢字カナ交じり。答者は仏者（禅僧か）ながら、主に儒学等外典の諸書を引いて霊魂の実在を説く。三教一致の立場に近い。巻末に儒者の仏教批判を論駁した仏者の論書を列挙する。(Provided by: デジタルアーカイブシステムADEAC)

濃縹色表紙。四周単辺１２行２０字。中・下巻を合冊にする（原装時より合冊）。中巻に、霊魂の実在を証する当世の話として、豊後府内辺のある商人が若い頃にある学寮で美しい児に恋慕し、昼寝の夢に小蛇と化して児に近づき、焼き煙管で焼かれ、実際に小鬢を火傷した説話あり。その後に「又或下女ヤキ鳥ノニヲヒニ念ヲ移テ是モ蚣ト成リ焼火筯（ヤケヒハシ）アテラルヽト云コト誰モ語ルコトナリ」とあり。また某甲（ソレカシ）が去年長崎を一見して上る際に宇佐八幡五百羅漢に詣で、雨中に馬に乗り、馬子から聞いた幽霊出現の話あり。
