- 後藤敬臣編。榕陰書屋蔵版。表紙題簽『南島紀事 中』。明治19(1886)年刊行。出版人は大沢鉞三郎(おおさわ・えつさぶろう)。表紙に「文徴」の印記があるが未詳。上巻には、元長州藩士であり、後に官僚となった杉孫七郎(すぎ・まごしちろう:1839-1920)が敘文を、元薩摩藩士で琉球在番(外務省役人)となった伊地知貞馨(いじち・さだか:1826-1887)が「琉球紀事序」と題した文章を寄せている。本巻は、尚円前紀上・中で構成されている。編者の後藤敬臣(ごとう・けいしん:1838-1897)は元岩国藩士。明治16(1883)年内務省御用掛として沖縄へ出張した。(2017年4月19日更新)Edited by Gotō Keishin. This edition was owned by Yōin Sho'oku. The title on the book cover is Nantō kiji chū. Issued in 1886. There is a stamp of "Bunchō" on the front cover, but the owner of this stamp is unknown. In the First Volume, Sugi Magoshichirō (1839-1920) who was an ex-retainer of Chōshū domain and later became a government official wrote a preface, and Ijichi Sadaka (1826-1887) who was an ex-retainer of Satsuma domain and became an official of the Ryukyu zaiban (in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), contributed "Ryukyu kiji jo" to this book. In the 2nd and the 3rd volumes of Nantōkiji contain a record of The Shō En Dynasty in two parts, and more, the 1st part is divided in 3 sections, the 2nd part is divided in 2 sections. In this 2nd volume, it contains the 1st and the 2nd sections . The editor, Gotō Keishin (1838-1897) was an ex-retainer of Iwakuni domain. He was assigned to visit Okinawa in 1883 as Goyōgakari (a general affairs official) of the Ministry of Home Affairs. (Updated on November 4, 2022)
