À travers cet ouvrage Théorie et pratique du droit public en hommage à Olivier Févrot, maître de conférences en droit public à l'Université d'Évry-Val-d'Essonne, ses anciens collègues, ses amis ont souhaité témoigner leur affection et leur reconnaissance au chercheur, à l'enseignant et à l'avocat. Olivier Févrot était profondément attaché à l'université et au savoir. Sa passion pour le droit public l'a conduit à appréhender cette discipline dans une approche très théorique, mais également à se confronter à la difficile pratique et à ses contradictions pour en tirer des réflexions plus abouties. Quatre champs d'études ont été investis plus particulièrement par Olivier Févrot, la démocratie locale, à laquelle il consacra son doctorat à l'Université de Paris 2 Panthéon Assas, les contrats publics, les biens et les relations public/privé. Ces thèmes ont été repris dans les diverses contributions de cet ouvrage par différents auteurs ayant eu à travailler ou à échanger avec lui. Ceux-ci ont prolongé ses réflexions
