Kotohiragu Shrine
A shrine located in Kotohira Town, Kagawa Prefecture. Known as "Kompira-san". It is known as a shrine to the deity of maritime protection. In the Edo period, it became as popular among common people to visit Kotohira-gu Shrine as to visit Ise Shrine. It is famous for the long stone steps along the approach to the shrine.
