当館で契約している、アメリカ連邦議会の資料を検索・閲覧できるデータベースには、
(1) Congressional Publications
(2) U.S.Congressional Serial Set
(3) Lexis+
の3つがあり、いずれも国立国会図書館の館内の利用者用端末で利用できます。
なお、アメリカ連邦議会資料の当館所蔵状況については、「アメリカ合衆国-議会」を、ウェブ上での公開状況については「アメリカ合衆国-議会資料: Congress.govとGovInfoの利用法」を参照して下さい。
また、議会期（Congress）、会期（Session）とその期間については、アメリカ上院のサイト内のページ"Dates of Sessions of the Congress"などを参照して下さい。
1. 各データベースの概要
1-1. Congressional Publications
- Congressional Publications（当館契約データベース: 館内限定）
主な収録資料は、Committee Hearings（1824年以降の委員会の公開・未公開双方の公聴会議事録）、Committee Prints and Miscellaneous Congressional Publications（1830年以降の委員会の活動に伴い作成された様々な資料）、Congressional Research Service (CRS) Reports（1916年以降の議会調査局（※前身組織を含む）作成の報告書）などです。
1-2. U.S.Congressional Serial Set
- U.S.Congressional Serial Set（当館契約データベース: 館内限定）
U.S. Congressional Serial Set（1817年から1994年までの議会文書類）、Serial Set Maps（1866年から1994年までのU.S. Congressional Serial Setの地図部分）、American State Papers（1789年から1838年までの議会文書類。U.S. Congressional Serial Setの1817年以前部分を補完する資料群）から成ります。
連邦議会の委員会の審査報告書（Committee Reports）や、議会が印刷を命じたその他の文書類（Documents）を閲覧できます。
《Serial Setとは》
Serial Setは、1817年以降に発行されたCommittee Reports, Documentsなどからなります。Committee Reportsは、委員会の法律案の審査結果や、他の調査事項についての報告書です。Documentsは、議会の委員会に由来し、行政機関や独立組織の報告、議会のために行われた特別調査の報告、非政府組織の年次報告などを含む、様々な分野に渡る資料です。
個々のCommittee ReportsやDocumentsの分量は一定ではなく、複数のCommittee ReportsやDocumentsをまとめて製本し、1冊1冊に連番（Serial No.と呼ぶ）を付したため、これらの資料を"U.S. Congressional Serial Set"、あるいは"Serial Set"と呼びます。個々のCommittee ReportsやDocumentsは、それぞれ上・下院を区別した上、議会期ごとに番号が付けられますが、これとは別に、収録されたSerial Setのvol.No.も持っています。
1-3. Lexis+
- Lexis+（当館契約データベース: 館内限定）
アメリカ（連邦、州）の判例、法令・議会情報のほか、EU、イギリス、カナダなどの判例・法令等の法情報、さらには、各国の新聞・雑誌・通信ニュースや産業・企業情報も収録しています。
アメリカ（連邦）の議会情報としては、Legislative Historiesなどとして、Congressional Record（本会議録）, Committee Hearings, Serial Setなどを収録しています。旧CIS社（Congressional Information Service; 現在はProQuest社の一部）由来の議会資料の総合的な索引である、CIS Index, CIS/Historical Indexを収録しており、書誌事項を確認するためのツールともなります。
Lexis+は、議会情報以外の各種情報も多数収録しているため、次のように検索範囲を限定すると、議会情報を検索しやすくなります。

2. 議会資料の種別ごとのデータベース収録状況
各データベースの収録状況は、当館が行った利用契約に基づきます。
