Improvement in Response Speed of FFP-Actuator for Soft Legged Locomotion Robot
一般注記In this paper, the author described improvement of a FFP actuator which combined a shape memory alloy (SMA)and a flexible plate as a means for moving a flexible robot with the stable steps. The proposed soft actuator was named a flexible flat plate(FFP)actuator as an actuator of a flexible soft robot. The movement in the center of gravity for robot was achieved by the expansion and contraction of this flexible lamina. Moreover, in order to raise the response of the actuator, the FFP actuator from which the diameter of five kinds of shape memory alloys differs was manufactured. The basic experiment on the operation was conducted for each actuator.
