Summary, etc.: ESG投資は，日本経済の長期的な成長を支える可能性を秘めている一方，まだ発展途上にあり，情報の量や質，またそれを解析する投資家のノウハウは十分ではない。また海外の市場では，企業による実態の伴わない宣伝（いわゆるESGウォッシュ）が大きな社会問題となっており，日本においてもESG投資の発展を制約するリスクがある。本稿では,ESG投資の最近の動向を概観したうえで，ESGへの取り組みが企業価値の向上に結びついているかどうかについて，主な実証研究を紹介する。またESGウォッシュが生じる理由と，企業価値への影響について考察した後，望ましい開示のあり方を提示する。
