平成25年度に知（地）の拠点整備事業として採択された「長崎のしまに学ぶ」において、中心的役割となっている全学教育「しまなびプログラム」において、学生を主体的に学ばせる仕組みを確立させた。　この中で重要になってくるのが、「離島経験の無い学生」にどうやって離島のことを学習させるか、離島の課題を発見させ解決することを考えさせるか、である。　これまでに「地域住民」と「学生」とが協働し、解決する方法として、平成27年度に地域コーディネータを活用した学びの仕組み実施し、その成果を平成28年度の学習に取り入れてきた。　本研究では、この平成２８年度版の実施を通して、学生主体でPBLを動かしながら地域課題の解決を図る方法論を進化させ、学生・コーディネータ・教員の三者の情報共有のあり方を確立する。
