本研究は、看護情報学の履修の有無にかかわらず、学士課程の看護学生が、各科目で分散して教授されている看護情報についての知識、技術、また「情報」を扱うことのできる能力の程度を自己評価することにより、コンピテンシーの獲得を視覚的に判断し、臨床の現場においても高い看護情報能力を発揮することを目指すものである。調査の結果、先の研究にて作成した看護情報能力尺度（NICS）は、3つの下位因子から構成されたが、そのうちの情報倫理について、本研究では因子として抽出されなかった。それは、情報倫理がリテラシーの１つとして位置付けられている面もあり、看護における情報倫理の概念が不明確である点が影響していると思われる。情報倫理判断であるIESに学年ごとの変化が見られなかったが、IESが高いものの方がNICSが高くなる傾向が明らかとなり、これは、NICSの育成にはIESを伸ばすことが有効であることを示唆している。今後は看護における情報倫理の概念について明確にし、看護情報学のコンピテンシー基準（コンピテンシーモデル）を設定していく。
