Note (General): Researches of gyrotron development have so far progressed toward obtaining high frequency and high power radiations. High frequency gyrotrons have been developed for many applications. We are developing a high power pulse gyrotron in the sub terahertz frequency range as a power source of collective Thomson scattering (CTS) diagnostics on the Large Helical Device (LHD) in National Institute for Fusion Science. For this purpose, a gyrotron in a high frequency of 350 - 400 GHz with a power level of 100 kW is desired. We have realized oscillation around 50 kW in this frequency range at second harmonic with a gyrotron of demountable type. Following this gyrotron, a sealed-off type gyrotron was manufactured. Experiment with the new gyrotron in now ongoing.
