Note (General): 肘屈曲位を伴う痙性片麻痺，いわゆる「Wernicke-Mannの肢位」を呈している症例に対して，上腕二頭筋にボツリヌス療法を施行すると上肢痙縮が軽減し着衣が容易になるが，歩行可能な症例の中には，肘関節が伸展して歩きやすさを自覚することがある．肘関節の屈曲痙縮（spastic elbow）の治療前後に3次元動作分析装置（VICON MX, VICON社）を用いて歩行解析を施行すると，治療後には歩行中に肘関節が伸展すると同時に体幹の傾きも改善して歩行速度がアップすることが確認された．痙性片麻痺を有する患者の上肢痙縮治療は，歩行機能の改善をもたらす可能性があると考えられる。
