Note (General): 本研究の目的は、自動車保有動機と交通手段の使い分けの関係を分析することを通じて、地方都市において自動車利用抑制策が求められる対象を明らかにすることである。分析の結果、以下のことが明らかとなった。第一に、通勤目的では、移動頻度に差がなく、交通手段の使い分けをしている人が少ない。第二に、買い物目的で、移動頻度が低い層では、交通手段の使い分けをしている人が少ない。第三に、買い物目的で、移動頻度が高い層の「移動利便性重視層」では、既に交通手段の使い分けをしている人が多い。第四に、買い物目的で、移動頻度が高い層の「プライベート空間重視層」と「無意識保有層」では、交通手段の使い分けをしている人が少ない。第五に、これらの知見を踏まえて地方都市において自動車利用抑制策が求められる対象を示した。
