Note (General): 親会社の組織文化を受容させる組織社会化は、海外子会社に親会社知識を移転する上で有用である。しかし、本国事業に最適化された組織文化を受容することは、環境の異なる海外事業では不適合を引き起こす可能性がある。この組織社会化のジレンマについて、日系新興国子会社7 社の実態調査から検討した。
Organizational socialization is the learning process of its specific culture and value. Foreign subsidiary socialization has been considered as a useful approach in transferring home base’s knowledge. But it has the potential risk that socialized foreign subsidiaries are not able to adjust to the business environment in their countries, because home base’s culture is basically suitable not for foreign country environment but for home one. From 7 Japanese MNC’s subsidiary in emerging country, we describe the actual situation of socialization effects, and we theorize that phenomenon as a socialization dilemma in MNC’s foreign subsidiary.
