Note (General): 本研究は、賃金決定における事業所の役割に着目し、日本の賃金格差を事業所内で生じる部分と事業所間で生じる部分へと分解した。データには、事業所と労働者の紐づけがなされた、1991 から2012 年の『賃金構造基本統計調査』を用いた。推定の結果から次の三点が明らかになった。第一に、1990 年代前半には、個人の賃金格差のうち事業所間賃金格差の占める割合は、男性よりも女性の方が大きい。第二に、男性では、観察期間中に事業所間賃金格差の拡大が見られた。第三に女性では、事業所間賃金格差の拡大は限定的であった。事業所間賃金格差の拡大は、賃金に占める事業所固有効果の分散が大きくなったこと、および、事業所―労働者間のAssortativeness が進行したことに起因する。観察期間中に、男性において変化が大きく起こった結果、個人の賃金格差に占める事業所内・事業所間賃金格差の内訳が女性のものに近づいたことが明らかになった。
