- 本研究は、各国立大学法人に求められる機能に即した評価が可能となるような評価指標の在り方について検討を行うことを目的に企画・実施されたものである。具体的には、大学進学率の上昇、国際化の進行といった今後に想定される状況をふまえて、大学評価及び大学評価指標について、国内外の事例を調査し、大学の機能分化に対応した評価の在り方を検討した。本研究では、平成23年度中に予備的な会合を開催し、研究の目的、方針などについて検討を行い、平成24年度においては、大学関係者の視点に立った従来型の大学評価を超えて、大学外部の社会の視点に立った新たな大学評価について検討するため、研究会を開催して、大学評価及び大学評価指標における国内外の現状整理、外国事例の調査、卒業生調査などの標準化に向けた基礎研究、評価指標の設定に関する基礎研究等についての議論を深めた。
